The Dirty Spank is a virtual dive bar which will satisfy all cravings for all things dirty: dirty drinks, dirty blues, and dirty company. For those patrons with a more refined palette, or with distinctively literary sensibilities, please venture upstairs to the private drinking club Bacchus at Babel: Bacchus at Babel. Bacchus at Babel is a more sophisticated establishment housed within an infinite library of rare and used books and manuscripts which offers only rare, specialty, and artisanal spirits and cocktails.
While you may find high-minded conversation upstairs, down at the Dirty Spank all you will find is dirty blues, dirty drinks, dirty rock & roll, and dirty romps. Though our notoriety may have begun with our first resident artist, Johnny Scuffles, who has since moved on to global fame and better venues, we currently have a full roster of bands to soothe the savage beast in any drinker. Some of our acts are dead, some are living, and some are fictional, but they never cease to impress. Prospero Les Fleurs and Balthazar de Herbe Sainte of the infamous Offal and Bone Band play all night on Fridays and we always offer $4 green chartreuse specials until dawn.
Bambi, our one-legged bartender, will over-pour while under-dressed. She may have a charming smile, but cross her and she will bludgeon you with her peg leg.
